James (Jim) M. Walker

Jim is a seasoned high-tech executive with more than 40 years of experience serving in senior leadership roles, including CFO, COO, and CEO, across public and private companies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics from San José State University, an MBA from Santa Clara University, and is a Certified Management Accountant.

Since 2019, he has served as a Contract CFO for small to mid-size software and services companies, focusing on strategic planning and financial stability. Previously, he served as CFO and Corporate Secretary of Sonim Technologies, where he helped guide the company through its 2019 NASDAQ IPO. His career also includes extensive contract CFO work with more than 40 software and SaaS companies, leadership roles as President and CEO of Alara Inc. through its successful sale, and CFO/COO positions at Alphasmart, Diamond Multimedia, Global Village, Fujitsu America, and Compression Labs, where he played key roles in multiple IPOs and acquisitions.
